It’s anyones guess….

So Tammy inspired me with this post to do a post about what I just ate for lunch. I was sitting there eating thinking “if I posted the ingredients to what I had for lunch, I wonder if anyone could guess what it is I am actually eating and drinking?” And then I ventured over to her blog to see that she had just done a post on what she had for lunch (which btw, will never do for this lover of food 😆 ) and I thought “I’m gonna post my ingredients.”

So, here they are. And Love, I know, I know, I know….. probably not the BEST thing in the world, but there are worse things. 😉 😆  Whyyyyy do I hear your (Love’s) “voice” whenever I post about food????? 😆

What I ate: (2 kinds of this btw):cultered pasteurized milk, salt, enzymes, annatto(color), potato starch, and powdered cellulose added to prevent caking, natamycin (a natural mold inhibitor) Contains: milk

WITH THIS: enriched bleached wheat flour (wheat flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine, mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), water, vegetable shortening (soybean oil, hydrogenated soybean oil), seasoning(salt, maltrodextrin, jalapeno pepper, onion, yeast, extract, garlic, citric acid, modified cornstarch, partially hydrogenated cottonseed and soybean oil, natural and aritificial flavor, disodium inosinate, disodium guanylate, aritificial color-fd&c yelow #5 and #6-, silicon dioxide-anticaking agent-, and contains 2% or less of: salt, leavening (sodium bicarbonate, sodium aluminum sulfate, corn starch, monocalcium phosphate, and/or sodium acid pyrophosphate, calcium sulfate), calcium propionate and sorbic acid and/or potassium sorbate (preservatives), distilled monoglycerides, wheat starch, amylase, tricalcium phosphate, cellulose gum, dough conditioners(fumeric acid, sodium metabisulfite and/or mono-and diglycerides. Contains:wheat.

And while I ate that, I drank this: carbonated water, caramel color, aspartame, phosphoric acid, potassium benzoate (preserves freshness*), caffeine, citric acid, natural flavors. Phenylketonurics:contains phenylalanine.

*isn’t that like an oxymoron or something??????  😕

So, what did I have for lunch? Any takers??? 😉

  1. Here’s one guess….and mostly b/c I forgot to add it and now I don’t want to go read the ingredients.

I had sour cream too. 😉 I don’t even want to KNOW what sour cream has in it b/c Jake told me it’s basically sour milk…. and that’s just NO WAY to talk about my yummy yummy sour cream. I heart sour cream. 😀

  3. I know, Love is going to crucify me I think. 😯 haha

And yes, you got the diet soda part…that dang aspartame gave me away. 😆

Jake and I agreed last night that once all this soda was gone we were no longer going to drink any. We think it has jacked with our body clock big time and we both need to drink more water anyway.

So it’s really a good thing I am doing, drinking the soda….to get rid of it. Right? 😆 hahahaha!!!! heehee

  7. I didn’t see the word meat in anything you listed so I am clue less. I did see jalapeno pepper in the seasoning so I couldn’t have been too bad.

For a snack I eat Kashi Fire Roasted Vegetable Crackers. They are not really very hot, more peppery.

The only difference I had salsa and a rootbeer.

The quesadilla makers are okay. The best “burner” on the stove.

Bran’s managed to beat you! 🙄

Does anyone else read that ‘ingredient’ list and think like me:

We have TRULY gone to far???

It’s time we all made a stand here folks!

Do we want our kids to eat real food or just man-made drugs?

Food? or food components ‘made to measure’ in a lab??

Bran-muffin – i feel SO proud you heard my voice from all the way over here – kinda like i can hear your laugh! 🙂

  27. Tam, I frequently remember a time in *ahem* McDonalds with you and you got a Big Mac and fries, I don’t remember what I got, and you didn’t eat all of your fries and I was eating them and you kept telling me to STOP EATING THE GREASY FRIES and I wouldn’t so you literally picked them all up in your hands and squeezed them, thinking it would deter me. Sadly, it did not. At that point though, I only ate for the 😯 factor. heehee

Wow, I have eaten some weird things in your presence. 😆

  35. And Love, COKE IS EVIL! hahahaha!! My SIL and I are completely opposite (in just about everything!) with our sodas. She’s a coke fan and I’m allll pepsi. When I was pg with Dylan I was addicted to coke for some reason, but once I had him, I no longer liked it. That is the only time in my life I have liked coke. EW. haha! 😆
