Talk To Me Tuesday

Posted on

Okay so my question today is, what do you do when you find yourself so overwhelmed with life to the point where you are not coping well?? How do you get back on track? How do you realign yourself??

I am so off track I just yelled at my son b/c he couldn’t figure out his v-smile game. Not my proudest moment. At all.

So to realign myself, with my kids, with my husband, with my house, with my God, I am getting rid of distractions. For a while. And this, this has been a distraction. One I enjoy very much. Very much.

So I am off for a while to clean, to spend time with my kiddos, to spend time with God, to spend time with myself, to spend time paying attention to Jake. BUT, when I come back I want lots of advice on other ways to get back on track. Lots of advice. Preferably advice that would keep me from reaching this point of feeling overwhelmed. My sister in law says I am a black and white person. This is true. Very true. I need some shades of grey. πŸ˜‰

I’ll be back, in a few days or so. And I won’t be lurking (aww that was just painful to say).

Looooooooove yoooooouuuus!

  1. Brandy, sometimes we all need to take a break and refocus on what is most important. girl we all get overwhelmed, and lose patience with our kids…for me I have learned to go in my room or closet or bathroom (hahaha can you tell I have kids) and just tell HIM how much I can’t do whatever it is that is weighing me down. And then I tell HIM but I know HE can, please fill me again today with HIS love, because mine seems to run out. HE has always been faithful to refill me, give me a hunger for HIS word, and even a smile for HUBS when I think it would just kill me to smile. I will be keeping you in my prayers as you take some time for family and God…you will never go wrong with those choices! love ya Princess!

Find a good short daily devotional book. Like “Grace for the Moment” by Max Lucado – it is a good “coffee break” devotional.

  3. Hmmmm, you know what I think.

Your a perfectionist and your expectations exceed your needs to take care of yourself, both physically and mentally.

I love you girl, I want to see you enjoy every moment and I want you to release everything that is out of your control(not just what you think) and leave it in God’s hands.

I know God’s peace and joy is more sufficient than anything else can ever offer you!

  10. Oh wow, where did you see her? She had the day off. She would like to see you guys at work. πŸ˜€

Oh that means I’ll have the girls then. haha! πŸ˜‰ Good to know. πŸ˜‰

Yes B, I’m good. Thanks for checking. God is continually reminding me that I am a person who needs schedules, boundaries, routines. As much as I fight against those things, He always wins. When will I ever “get it” for good huh? πŸ˜‰ It’s a continual process I think. That and the transition we are in right now is exhausting. Emotionally. In a good way. πŸ˜‰

Hey I need to maybe walk down to you guys with the boys on one of these nice days since you are so close now. πŸ˜‰

I can understand the stress you giuys are under.
